Fantastic and thought provoking article! My only suggestion would be perhaps a follow up article to emphasize the difference between subconsciously generated affect, and consciously constructed emotions. We can do a great deal to reinforce a positive affective state via exercise, nutrition, meditation, supplements/medication etc. I also can’t emphasize enough the reality that WE are the architects of our emotions, not the people we mirror.
