…more glaring, he fails to explain how consciousness arises in humans, let alone non-human entities. If "consciousness doesn’t arise out of complexity," then from where does it come? Until we have a working theory of human consciousness it's too early to rule out the possibility art…
The author's arguments against artificial consciousness strike me as blatant carbon chauvinism.
