I know that because I was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa and although I spent my childhood in the UK, I did high school in Freetown, the capital. Objectively I can tell you that Sierra Leone until very recently was the least developed and poorest country in the world. The country has had independence from colonialism since 1961. Sierra Leone is 119th least corrupt out of 180 countries being measured. From 1991 — 2002 during the civil war, over 50,000 were slaughtered by (black) rebel factions. Police brutality?
