I love this article. Thank you. 🙏🏾 I do think though that we ought to make a strict distinction between ‘belonging’ and ‘connection’. A responsible person takes full ownership for themselves, and therefore don’t seek to ‘belong’. What I believe they seek is an authentic ‘connection’, and to me that means they want to be valued altruistically. They want to be valued irregardless of whether they bring value (utility) to the table.
