I think a stronger argument is to distinguish between the cop vs. the police system. Most cops ARE good cops, and I don’t think it’s effective to counsel not to make that point; the argument is a straw man. I believe we ought to simply point to a system which has racist origins, and has powerful union support to protect the bad cops from being punished. The fact that blacks are most likely to experience “justice” as detrimental is systemic and not a function of individual cops.
