I think this is a good point which essentially gets down to inequity in the distribution of tasks. What’s the full story though? There are relationships where the man pays for everything after working a 6 hour week, but is then criticized for not doing his share of the housework. Does the wife also work? Is he mowing the lawn, putting out the trash and wondering why she doesn’t (at least) contribute to the utility bills?
