I used to rave about Evernote, but I find recently I’ve taken to using MS Word documents stored in a folder hierarchy. The REVIEW > COMMENTS functionality for me are essential for my writings, and I can easily download HTML and PDF documents and convert them to WORD for annotation. I can also convert an ebook to WORD for my own use and do inline annotations.
