If there isn’t a desire or need to start a family, why do men or women need each other, if they can have a roommate? I think you’re overstating the need for adults to live together for fiscal reasons. 67% of Gen Z, 66% of Millennials and 78% of Baby boomers are financially self sufficient.

Both genders are realizing that living with a significant other, is probably the least efficient cost/benefit way to meet one’s emotional, domestic and fiscal needs. I don’t view that as offensive, but liberating.
