My thoughts are that Bitcoin WILL be around for a very long time, if not indefinitely because it’s the first cryptocurrency, and for that reason alone it will always be a collectors item. As for ETH, there are extremely smart engineers working on their proof of stake rollout: “The shift to proof of stake for block validation reduces carbon emissions by 99.9%, making Ethereum a green technology,”

I don’t think we can seriously contemplate the future of the debut coins such as BTH, ETH without acknowledging that the underlying infrastructure (blockchain) is proposed to be at least on par with the invention of the Internet. Back in the early 90s, the Internet was slow, not secure and spawned very primitive web applications.

ETH is powering a revolutionary financial infrastructure, that we refer to as DeFi, and there’s far more at stake than how much speculators make via day/swing trading.

There are a great deal of cryptocurrencies that will die for sure, but the jury is out for a while to come on BTC and ETH.

Thanks for a great article, and I hope you enjoy your weekend.
