Regarding changing in thinking, it seems to me most of the world could learn a great deal about strategic planning and critical thinking from countries like China and South Korea. The approach to the pandemic by some of these countries in Asia has shown an almost surgical approach in the use of technologies such as mass testing and contact tracing. Consider covid-19 testing in the US; it doesn’t seem to account for the 5 day virus incubation period, and the fact that during the 5–7 days it takes to get test results, the subject could have been infected.
