The Immoral Protest against the Killing of George Floyd

The manslaughter of Floyd as revealed by video was categorically immoral and in my opinion, illegal. It’s not enough for the police involved to lose their jobs, they SHOULD stand trial.

While the community are absolutely right to demand a trial, the looting and destruction of property of those not involved in the incident is WRONG! How on earth is it fair on the innocent to suffer violence as a consequence of a protest against violence. The protest has claimed at least one life, with one person reported being shot dead.

I’m tired of seeing black people needlessly die at the hands of law enforcement, but I’m also disgusted by the barbaric, immoral and illegal way the so called “socially just” take matters into their own hands.

The media are manipulative hypocrites, and their coverage exacerbates racism and worsens race relationships. In my opinion, the looting and destruction is not a protest; this is an act of war. The pandering by the media, primarily to gain ratings does not help our communities in the long term. The behavior demonstrated by the “protesters,” is exactly the kind of fodder that the white supremacists relish as justification for their racist and fascist agenda.
