This I think is similar to Kant’s categorical imperative maxim “Act in such a way that you always treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of any other, never simply as a means, but always at the same time as an end.” It’s also akin to the biblical agape (charity); “love is kind, Love is patient etc.”. My point is that this disposition ought not to be unique to love relationships but all interpersonal encounters including business.
