Well according to Investopedia, the average cost (assuming 15,000 miles per annum) of a Tesla over 5 years, is $43,847. That is approximately a cost of $0.58 per mile! It does not matter how many miles you sell, even millions if the income ($0.18) is less than the cost. We have not even factored in Musk’s cut to make the platform profitable. I imagine that if it WAS profitable, the cost of the Tesla for the investment minded would be trivial.
